Oh I am so loving this, I have been enjoying many very talented artists work on You tube for some time now.
My local craft store had the Strathmore visual journal’s on sale, so since I am just beginning this process, I decided to purchase the smaller one.
If you don’t care for Christian music, please mute your computer speakers.
In the slide show below you’ll see the pages I’ve done so far. I plan to put the month and day on each page as I go along my journey. I am looking forward to the freedom to not have to be completely precise and enjoy just the playfulness this type of journal provides.
I couldn’t get the pictures to upload in order and honestly I became tired of trying. I finally left them “as is”. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my atrociously messy desk. I hope to have every thing put away before I go to bed this evening.
I am at the end of my third round of steroids, however I won’t be able to take any more for a while. I have developed a terrible reaction to them and have become excessively itchy. The unseasonable weather is not helping.
What a wonderfully fun day! I had Chad drive and we went to a wonderful Sushi place on the same plaza as Photo Scraps. It is about 32 miles from our home to the store.
The store is always gracious about allowing you to take as many photo graphs as you would like. I could taken even more pictures than the 24 that I did.
Here is the video slide show. If you don’t like the music, please just mute it! I really have a mojo “high” right now. Now if I can convince the Snicker pup its OK not to stay in my lap the rest of the afternoon. This poor puppy has had some major abandonment issues sine we had to put Lexie down.
My neck and shoulder are getting much better, I will be seeing a neurologist next week to get to the root cause of this pain. Thank you for your continued prayers.
The weather here in Southern Maryland is beginning to cool off. The leaves are starting to change and my garden is still producing wonderful vegetables.
Our home has been a buzz of activity the last few days. With the steroids I am taking finally giving me some relief from pain, I have been able to finish up a few swaps.
Today I finished off these adorable altered tickets for an on-line swap. They are not due until the end of October, but I couldn’t help myself, I had an idea in my head and just got to creating.
I have now officially ran out of steam for the day. I will be calling it a night shortly.
If you have not given this small miniature project a try, I highly suggest you do. It can be quiet addicting to make these small works of art.
I hope you all have a great weekend, Happy Columbus Day! Please, stamp happy and be a blessing!
I was in a partner swap on a .ning sight and my partner for the altered canvas swap was Sonia O. I posted the canvas I made for her in an earlier blog post.
This is the beautiful canvas I received. At first I thought I would use it as a plaque but the more I looked at the piece the more it called out to me to be an accessory to the photo frame I made for the picture of my husband Mike and I taken last July.
The first four pictures are of the canvas without any revisions. I decided to add a couple of my signature shrink plastic butterflies and a stamped image for inside of the frame. I may at a later date change this for a picture, but for right now I am pleased with the final out come.
If you would like more information on the online group that hosted this swap, please email me at Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com . As I stated in a previous post due to some not so nice circumstances I will no longer publish groups I am on to protect myself and those I enjoy swapping with.
I hope you are all doing well. I am still struggling with the C-5/C-6 pinched nerve. My doctor put me on a second round of steroids today. I have an MRI of the cervical spine and left shoulder tomorrow morning. Just to make sure there isn’t any thing else going on.
I am the type of person who can normally handle pain, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Please pray that this will settle down soon. Talk about a literal pain in the neck, it goes down my neck to my shoulder blade to my shoulder socket, all the muscles in my left arm are at some form of spasms and I haven’t felt the tip of my left thumb in two weeks.
I’m only 47, I’m much to young to fall apart. Now mind you I’m not too young to have not flashes. Who turned up my thermostat. Private summer, who ever came up with that term hasn’t been through menopause.
Have a terrific weekend, I hope to shoot some more video tutorials soon, I want to show you guys how I color larger images that have been stamped onto shrinky dink brand plastic, using copic markers.
The next time I make one of these adorable post it note holders using the acrylic photo frame or one of the ladies desk caddy’s I plan to add a clock to the piece, wouldn’t that be neat!
I hope you enjoy these pictures, stamp happy be a blessing.
