I started a wonderful Bible Study yesterday. In celebration I made myself this mini book to use as a prayer journal.

Mike and I recently attended a wedding in Aberdeen, Virginia. We had a lovely time.
The food was excellent, the decor’ was simple yet elegant and the music, wine and cake also very nice.
I ordered a 5X7″ print of the picture the photographer took of Mike and I. I had this frame in my laundry room, where it has been sitting, getting a bit bashed. I actually liked that it wasn’t perfect. That just adds to the charm of this project. I used my Wild Orchid Craft roses and flowers, the butterflies are stamped, colored trimmed and shrank using Shrinky Dink’s brand shrink film.
I embellished the piece with patterned paper, and bling. The entire project only took me about 2 hours to complete. That was mostly waiting for glue to dry.
Every thing was hot glued in place with a bit of E6000 so that when the piece is dry the flowers and decorations will be permanent.

MSR Flower and stick pin swap
This is the first time I have used the Power Director 10 software to create a side show. I’m not sure why the entire song “come to the well” did not come through in one piece. I have so many things to get done this week.

Our family is still struggling not having our precious Lexie puppy. It is amazing how many accidents have stopped. We know for certain who the problem was now. It is so hard to be without her.

Good bye Lexie
As many of you know Mike and I have been privileged to be the fur parents to three dogs.
Lexie came home Mother’s day weekend in 2001. She was born in March and she died this afternoon. After a long and agonizing set of circumstances we made the joint decision it was no longer fair to allow her to have poor quality of life and she was starting to suffer physical pain from a congenital hip deformity.
She was our first fur baby. Once all three puppies are gone we will be done with fur babies. We love them and will enjoy what ever years we have. It will be no easier to have the other’s put to sleep. Lexie was especially hard.
Mike and I have cried, and still cry over the loss of this angel. We have put her collar on the floor in a common area so the other two can smell it. They keep looking at the door and Snickers keeps looking for her. In her usual haunts, like the puppy bed or by the food dish.
We have chosen to not have her ashes returned to us. We had considered burring her remains in the yard but are afraid that some wild animal would disturb her resting place.
Thank you for your kind comments on face book and those of you who have called we do appreciate everything you do. Keep us in your prayers. Loosing this precious puppy is just so hard.

Hello everyone!
What a crafty week it has started out to be!

My new (redone– again) Stamp/scrap space is almost finished. Once my dear husband cleans off the large table in the basement, it will be taken down and only taken out when I have guests. Freeing up valuable floor space. Even the dog’s bed’s will be some-what re-arranged.
What I’m working on! Oh my am I so very addicted to Smash books. Mine are more Junk journals containing ideas I clipped from old magazines, odds and ends a few projects gone right and a few not so good ones. Opportunity for journaling, keeping up with swaps from my own line group and more.
The new desk is here, together and functioning even BETTER than I had imagined. I am selling off my 12X12 paper storage trays and a few 8 1/2 X 11 ones. They are the sturdy acrylic ones and are simply fantastic for paper storage. After my purge I’m going to sell off the excess!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week. It will be a very fast one for us, so much to do before Saturday afternoon.
