As a member of the Chemo Angel group we receive a confidential email giving us the birthdays of Senior buddies and Chemo Buddies who celebrate their birthday. This list was for the October birthdays.

I actually made

I made several different styles of cards. Keeping the over all lay out and layering at a minimum. I used up a small percentage of my 8X8″ pattern paper to make the envelopes.

If you have the original memory makers punch board, the envelope for a standard A2 size card starts off with a piece of 8″X 8″ paper. Scored at 3 1/2″. These cards fit into their custom envelopes perfectly. If you have the Stampin Up version of the punch board, this measurement is already on your tool.

I used a black sharpie marker and wrote on one side of the front panel the measurements so I don’t have to look them up.

I completed 30 cards over the last weeks. After making them, I address the envelopes and put the persons date of birth some where on the front. That way a week before their birthday I can send it on it’s way.

Please note if you are sending a card APO/AE or even to another country please allow 2 weeks for the card to get to its destination. It normally takes 2 postage stamps and does not require a customs form.

The stamp set is called Simply Spanish.

I used the I miss You Spanish stamp to create this fun and versatile card.

I used the Farm House Paper Company it is called “Fair Skies”.

I decided to go with a clean and simple white card base that is A2 size. I only sponged the edges of two of the main pieces so that it added interest and kept the card from being overly busy. I used some dew drops from my collection to finish off the lay out.

Onto my wonderful news. This week as a Chemo angel something very special happened. THREE TIMES! I received three cards and letters from both special assignment angels thanking me for the cards and letters of encouragement I had sent, but a vey long winded detailed letter from one of my regular buddies.

This is a rare occurrence and I know that it doesn’t happen. However, when it does it’s pretty darn special. I would encourage you to learn more about the Chemo Angel’s organization. Drop me a email at Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com if you have more questions.

Chemo Angel Project

I have had a very busy few days. I have been busy cleaning up and re-organizing part of my craft room. I have some small boxes that I keep unmounted stamps in and had run out of room for them. I compensated by buying some of the twelve by twelve inch storage units from Walmart.

The units have six drawers each and there are three colors in each unit. I also bought three additional 12 X 12 storage that had three drawers each in them. Those are white with clear drawers.

Now, I have them stacked and in a neat row. But, what to do about a top. I thought of buying a thin piece of wood, and having it cut to size, but I went to the laundry room to get a measuring tape and spotted a scrap of dry wall. I still need to clean up the top of my desk.

Interestingly enough it is the right size. I covered it with some white dry erase material I had and instant shelf. Score. The entire project cost around $60.00. It looks really nice too.

OK onto the Chemo Angel projects. Mr. T. His cancer has gotten worse so I decided to send a little scrapbook for him to fill up with family memories from the summer. So for a small gift for September I made four of these coasters.

I purchased the coasters from Bbdzing. The more coaster’s you buy the cheaper they are and shipping is free. They make fantastic gifts for every one on your Christmas and Birthday list’s as well. Very easy to make. Mind you the other coasters I made where a bit more “fancy” than this one, but I wanted a quick and simple project that still had flare.

They are thin and light weight making your shipping costs pretty low as well.

My Craft spot Haul and Samps of Life Haul

Hello everyone,

I didn’t know that the My Craft Spot even existed until I was sitting around on a lazy afternoon You tube channel surfing. I went to their sight — click here — and did some shopping. I especially love the tiny tag dies (3 sets of stamps to go with them) and the Jar set(s) are stinking cute.

Here is a funny for you, I had to go back and order the die for the jar because I forgot to do so the first time.

If you go to the “extra” tab on the website you can print out a FREE inventory sheet for the stamps they manufacture as well as the dies and embossing folders. That is just plain smart. Thank you you make that part of my inventory control very easy.

My college kid and more on the 700 subbie give away

Hi Friends!

Today has been a productive and busy day that ended with a very late afternoon nap.

In the above pictures are Chad and I. I had a late afternoon Doctor’s appointment and by the time I was heading home it was supper time.

I gave Chad a quick call and picked him up. We went to Sullivan’s a quaint little restaurant and bar that Mike and I used to call our “date” night joint.

We both ordered the bacon cheese burgers. So delicious. The food as well as the service is superb.

I received my package of goodies for the MayMay made it design team and have a short video of that to share soon. I am just going to have to tease you with that information for now.
