I am participating in an online swap with creating the crafty life. You can check out their site by clicking here. We are to make two keys, two bottle caps and two altered buttons.
I found my buttons at Hobby Lobby in the sewing section. They are 2″ each. I used some small birds that were gifted to me along with flowers from my personal collection. In the small envelope is a surprise for the folks who are participating as well.
The buttons are secured to the top of the box with light tack glue dots. The small box is from Sizzix. I cut the box from medium weight chipboard as well as from different patterned papers from my stash. I also used lace and ribbon to add the finishing touches.
I hope you will give projects like these a try. Stamp Happy and be a blessing. Until next time………
Hello my friends, somewhere in today’s post is a VLOG from a car trip I took today into Huntsville, AL. I visited both Joann Fabric and Crafts as well as Michaels. Joann’s fabric was completely disappointing. I was hoping to find the new DCWV paper stacks. The paper crafting section of the store had tumbleweeds. Not a lot there for the taking. There were only a few stamps, and maybe 5-10 paper stacks. Nothing I was interested in. The good thing about this visit was that next door to the store was a Guitars and more store. Since moving to Alabama my music stand has come up missing. So have a few other items that Mike and I believe may be packed away in the garage or in a mislabeled box.
http://https://youtu.be/6Pi9FjTtPXg . This is today’s Vlog from my car. I hope you will enjoy the footage as well as the VLOG. Guntersville Lake is just beautiful. We have lived here nearly 6 months now and the view does not get old. It is very soothing.
After about 3 weeks of trying to contact Totally Tiffany (which in my opinion, even though my problem is resolved) still has really bad customer service. After taking “my case” to a public forum, I was finally contacted by the staff and will be getting a full refund of the unused scraprack page inserts. I will try and do a follow up post soon. The Card, Playful standups die and coordinating stamp set was not claimed as part of a recent give away. I will be redrawing this winner soon, so please check back.
As a general rule if you win one of my giveaways or deStash lots, please contact me within 24 hours (except for weekends when I will allow you to contact me on the next available business day) or the prize/deStash lot will go to another person.
Thanks for playing along with the rant today. I will restock my Etsy shop soon, so check that out as well. Stamp Happy and be a blessing. Until next time . . .
Why is it when I upload photos to the website they are sideways or upside down. You’d think the images would be facing the same direction in which they are saved on my computer. As you can plainly see that is not the case.
On Tuesday I had the honor of hosting a card making event at North Broad Church of Christ, of which we are proud members. These cards will minister to folks in the community as well as people in our church family in need of encouragement.
Each card was totally unique. There was one (made me really sad) card that will not go into our card ministry. It had a malfunction I couldn’t fix. Simply stated it some how was drug through glue, making the ink run. No worries, I happily made a similar card. All together (at last count) there were approximately 56 cards made and donated.
I couldn’t be more proud. Knowing your talent and the efforts of others will become a blessing to the community at large, ministering the love of Christ in this way makes my heart happy. If you would like more information or even a tutorial on these cards, simply leave me a comment and I’ll gladly accommodate the request.
I was pleasantly surprised at the happy mail in my post office box this morning. The one package from Germany was totally unexpected and very welcome! The package from Brenda was from a swap hosted on Creating the Crafty Life. It is a fun group of crafters! I was excited to receive this tag and I’m just as excited to add it to my wall of tag goodness! I am planning to o an updated room tour soon, with details. I have had may request to show more details.
Recently my sweet husband put up a shef over the closet ad also screwed in some cup hooks which we strung ribbon through so I could hang my tag collection. The end result is elegant and a fun visual reference that helps keep me motivated and also helps the creativity to continue to flow.
Speaking of husband, today is our 16th Anniversary. I love you Mike!
Here is a picture of me, all dressed and ready for the ceremony. My precious daughter, Amanda took the photo. I was skinny back then. Thank you to all of our friends and family that have shared and witnessed our journey together. I know we still have many years to enjoy with one another as well as to serve the Lord together.
So the title is a little tongue and cheek. Frankly, its supposed to be funny and an experiment of sorts to see if the title of a video on YouTube really does increase the views of said video. Report will follow in a later post.
I filed four videos the day I filmed this one. Not necessarily a new record but it is a step in the right direction. I really need to start creating with these wonderful goodies I have acquired through the years. As a reminder, I do custom die cutting, mini albums, cards and much more. Just ask. My prices are reasonable and the quality of the products I use are top notch.
