It has been a busy day here in the Rodger household. Please read and enjoy the pictures and the blog!

Here is a view of the planter from the front. As you can see its two layers deep you will be able to see the planter in its entirity throughout this post. Including some pictures of my sweet hubby. This one is worth the view!

I hope every one is enjoying this Sunday! I sure am, I made a quick trip to the store to buy ice cube trays, cole slaw and $1.00 stamps. Our Michael’s store is just a skip from the grocery. I bought the new calendar dollar stamps. I went through and pulled out four sets of them. Three as gifts one for me! They are adorable. I am so addicted to dollar stamps, you get so many goodies for so little! I’m all about value.

Here is a quick look at the planter from the side street looking toward the house, it is so beautiful!

Below is a side view of the platners, those hedges may be small now, but in a couple of years they will grow in and fill up the bed. The long term plan is to add hedges along the walk to bring even more attention to the house.

Here are is one more pic of the work part. Here you will see my sweet Michael finishing up the planting of the shrubs, they are azalea’s by the way.

So its late afternoon, the planter is complete, the husband is showered and now (you’re gonna love this picture) its time to rest!

Thats’ right, one tired hubby one nice recliner three dogs and a nap. I assure you he deserved the nap, the dogs in his eyes where just an added bonus. Shhh, he’s still sleeping! Tonight we will enjoy BBQ brisket, he has been one busy guy!

This is such a simple card.

Stampin Bella is Gardenbella check out their stamps here. I have to brag on this company a little bit, I ordered about 8 bellas on Wednesday, got the tracking/shipping info on Thrusday evening, I had the order on Friday morning. No, I’m not kidding!

I used pretty in pink for the card base, decorative paper (5 1/4″ X 4″), the purple panel is layered behind the main panel. She is colored using my new copic markers. (I love love love them). I embellished the image with simple glitter.

Update, the 19 year old son, continues to ‘act out’. Now we seem to think its “ok” to look at porn on the internet. This is not tolerated, I do not want this influence in my home especially with a 13 year old in the house. My tolerance is next to zero now and I will no longer tolerate his behavior.

I know he is going to trying all the tricks in the book, but immorality is not going to be tolerated. I hold my children to the same high standards as the Scriptures teach. No less will be tolerated.

My sweet Michael continues to work on the new planter, I’ll take pictures tomorrow. I have one of him after a hard work day sitting in his recliner sleeping. Not to mention he had three dogs keeping him company. I’ll post that picture tomorrow.

The image above is from whippersnapper designs. I have a few of their stamps, but must admitt I have a hidden ‘obsession’ with them. I am sure you will enjoy all of their stamps, be sure to check out the gallery as well as check out their contests. Lots of great stuff up for sale.

I colored my image with good ol’ copic markers. They are fast becoming my favorite medium. But, as a ‘purest’ stamper, when I’m waiting around for a doc appointment or something, I still use my water color pencils and blender pen to color images.

I have been using empty CD cases for my clear stamps. I am using sizzors to cut the larger sets apart and can usually get one into a cd case, if it takes more than one case I label them 1 of 3 (or what ever.

I am so enjoying this round of secret sisters on Splitcoast stampers, My big sis’s name is Mary and she so rocks! I keep getting the nicest presents and cards from her, she has been super about email and I enjoy knowing what is going on in her life!

Hey — I’m curious, what are you guys paying for gas these days? I filled my hubby’s honda accord up yesterday (12.45 gal or so) and it was $50.00.
