I spent all of my day yesterday on a quest for a bunny. I have joined the Stick pin swap on Your Paper pantry.
I found a bunny on sale at Joanne’s but didn’t like her attire. So I stripped her naked and layered on some lace. It is my first attempt to dress a bunny, and she isn’t all bad.
I made the stick pins in the video. Two use large 5″ hat pins. They are adorned with beads shaped like spring things. So much fun to work with.
I hope to get this package postal this week. I am not promicing as my schedule for the next few days is very tight.
I hope you will join some fun swaps. PLEASE READ THIS PART:
I am nearly at 400 subscribers on youtube. When I reach that mark I will do a youtube give away. Help me reach my goal. I am thrilled 400 people subscribe to my channel and watch the videos.
Accucut will soon be in the house! I have a few new dies coming in this week. I wanted to make a payment to the friend I am buying them from and the darn Paypal wants over $10.00 for their “cut”. I think not. I’ll get out the check book, dust it off and send her the money that way.
I love this stamp from My Favorite things, click here. She is a pure innocence image. I adore the saying. I kept the card simple. It measures 5 1/2″ square. I used my dies from Spellbinders and dienamics from MFT.
Several months ago, Phyllis and Candace came to visit me. These ladies are incredible. We did some crafting and they brought me the beautiful goodies in the video slide show. Thank you ladies! I hope we can do this again soon! Please excuse me for being so tardy.
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some crafty time!
I am enjoying some time this month participating in several swaps. I am in love with the swap Jonnie has on Your Paper Pantry. The name of the swap is “Tag bags”
I used my Accucut Balloon die for this project. I cut the balloons out of patterned paper and attached them to a light chipboard base. I made five tags. Each took me about 45 minutes to complete. You spend a bunch of time waiting for glue to dry for this project.
The banner is also cut from a die, Stampin Up Sizzix banner die. I cut it also from light chipboard and patterned papers. It is finished with Wild Orchid Craft flowers, bling, Lindsey’s glimmer mist and items from my personal collection.
Stamp Happy be a blessing.
Last night I started making these adorable hot air balloon tags for a swap on Your Paper Pantry. I used some light chipboard for the base and two separate patterned papers for the balloon and basket. I embellished them with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and twine. The butterfly was stamped onto clear shrinky dink plastic and colored with Copic Y18 marker.
I accomplished most of the die cutting last night and had partially assembled them. This morning I set my task to completing them. All in all it took approximately six hours to make five tags. I wanted the attention to detail to be evident. I also used Linday’s stamp gang glimmery mist.
I had a really great time with these, I will be adding a few things to the bags for the fellow swappers and then will try and get them postal this week.
I spent a FABOLOUS weekend down in Ashland, Virginia. It is only about 10-15 minutes from Kings Dominion. Of course the park is not open as of yet, but I wasn’t there to go to the amuzement park.
I went there to obtain my intermediate copic certification. By the way, my friend Mary Dawn will be re-doing my blog look here in the near future. Watch for changes, as it will probally correlate with my 300 subscribers, wow, that is totally terrific.
For those who are awaiting packages from me. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTEN. Life over the last three weeks has been hectic at best. My 23 year old son, Craig is in really deep (doo doo) and unfortunately because of the severity of what is going on our family has been asked not to discuss matters.
Most packages will go postal tomorrow (Tuesday February 21, 2012) or by the weeks end. Thank you to those who are waiting.
I plan to take much of tomorrow and re-group. Mostly clean up and reclaim my craft area. I have misplaced this drippy pretty frilly lace and hopefully it will float to the top soon. I really want to use it.
Coming soon, my new ‘Blinged’ baby wipe container. I didn’t even know they came in solid white. There for my blingy enjoyment. Oh what fun that will be.
I am taking a small break from Queen Kat designing while I finish up some much needed work and will be designing for her company soon. Please click the queen kat icon to the right and go visit her fantastic store.
I will also be opening an ETSY store soon. After some researh it seems like the best fit for my budget and time constraints. I really would like to help support my habit, I mean hobby with some funds earned from this venue.
Stamp happy be a blessing. Remember, you are only as strong because of Christ. Below is a slide show of my last swaps received from Your Paper Pantry. Enjoy!
