Worry and Soothing Stone Tutorial
These Worry/Soothing stones are sure to make a wonderful gift for some one in your life that is facing a difficult time or diagnosis. They are easy to make and not very expensive.
You will need tumbled marble tiles, these are readily available from your local home improvement center. They are approximately $10.00 and measure 2″X2″X1/4″ . The tiles will need to be prepped by removing the fabric backing and cleaning them with a damp cloth or baby wipe.
Then you will need a few stamps (I used some from Hero Arts and Stampabilities) . To make sure these tiles will hold up to the wear and tear of frequent handling, use a permanent waterproof ink such as Ranger Archival ink. Please refer to the video below for more details.
Once the tree’s had been stamped onto the tiles, I used my heat tool to make sure the ink was completely dry before stamping on the sentiment. These tiles are sealed with Glossy Accents, however you can use any workable fixative or spray sealer you have. The backs of these tiles are finished with pieces of cork that I glued into place using E6000. Before adding the cork to the back of the tiles, I allowed the glossy accents to dry completely. In the photo above, the glossy accents are still slightly wet.
