Welcome to the way back machine! Today we are unmounting previously mounted red rubber (mostly) stamps. Many of these stamps are from Stampin’ Up.
The stamps you see in this video are long since retired. You probably can still purchase them on sites like Ebay or even Etsy. I suggest a google search or even google image search.
When removing these stamps from their wood prisons, be patient. Often if you can just make even the slightest of opening between the rubber and the foam backing. A blunt pair of scissors or even your nails make short work of this.
Older stamps release easier only because the bond of adhesive is somewhat weakened by time. If you have trouble removing them, soak in some warm soapy water. I do not suggest goo-b-gone or other products as they can deteriorate the rubber.
DO NOT save or burn the blocks, throw them in the trash. Often these blocks are made from a highly treated wood, and are not safe. ESPECIALLY do not allow a child to handle or place them in their mouths.
Have a great day, feel free to ask any questions! Until Next time…
