Pretty clipboard project — lots of pictures!
***
Saturday, March 20, 2010 I was privledged to visit the home of my stamping friend, Amanda. She taught a class on altering clip boards, making coasters and a tag book, she also turned a photo cube into a cool work of art. Unfortunately I still need to complete that part of my project.

The pretty purple one on the top of the blog post is the one I completed in the class. It is so pretty. She gave us a choice of different ribbons, embellishments, ghost shapes and many other goodies to play with.

For the project today, I choose shades of soft pink the ghost shapes are cut from a retired sizzix die and it is the ultimate in recycling. I used the packaging from the last die I purchased to cut the tea pot as well as the two flowers on this project.

For extra touches, I chose to add high lights with glitter, sukra pens, ribbon and dew drops. Each layer had to be carefully planned in advance and time was allowed between each step for drying. To prepare this clipboard, I used white spray paint and allowed it to dry in the warm (wonderful) sunshine for several hours before decopauging the the paper onto the clipboad. The clipboards where purchased from the Post Exchange at Fourt Meade for $1.00 each.

Don’t forget we have two items of blog candy up for grabs two stamp sets. As we play along, there will be more goodies added to the pot. Since this is national craft month, it will be a “March madness” box of goodies.

Have a great night and check back with me soon. Stamp Happy!
