Ornaments Keepsake using Stampin Up products
Hello friends!
Today I am sharing this 3 dimensional ornament that I made using the retired stampin up dies “Ornaments keepsake” stamp and die set.
To make the ornament you will need
40 Large stamped Ornaments (They are blue in the picture)
40 small stamped Ornaments (They are green in the picture)
twine
Tole
die cut rosette
wink of stella pen
You will first stamp and die cut all of the large ornaments. Then stamp and die cut the smaller ones. Keep 10 of each aside. The larger ones will stack on top of one another when it is time to start assembling the ornament.
Score all of the remaining ornaments in half. Gently go over the surfaces with your wink of stella pen or shimmer mist before proceeding.
Attach 3 of the folded pieces together and place on the base. Continue until you have all 10 sets finished. Do the same with the green small ornaments.
Next you will need a circle about 1 1/2″. Using your favorite liquid adhesive place the large ornaments onto the circle and allow to dry. Then turn the piece over and repeat the process.
You will be adding the tole at this point. If you want some shimmer on your tole, please spray it with a shimmer mist. Using Hot glue attach the tole between the large ornaments. You will also do this step on both sides. When you are finished with the tool place some bakers twine inside the ornament to act as a hanger.
Then you will assemble the smaller ornaments in the same way as larger ones. Once all of the smaller ornaments are glued down, you will be ready to make the rosettes. Using plenty of glue (I used hot glue) you will attach the rosette to the center of the ornament and top it with your choice of decorations.
I will try to shoot a video tutorial of this process for you this week. Stamp Happy and be a blessing!
