I hope you are all having a great Friday. After getting my home in order I sat down and did some stamping and as you see, some painting. I still have paint on my hands. Hope most of it will come off, since when Mike gets home this evening we are planning to go out for dinner.

The small flower pot will show up in the blog again tomorrow. Once it is totally dry, I plan to apply two coats of sealer to the project then plant a small pansy inside. I will also embellish it with ribbon. This is the first time I have tried my hand at free hand painting and in the future I am sure I’ll look back and laugh at my crude work, but for a first try, it isn’t bad.

If you are wondering what is up with those stars, well when I sit here and type up everything for the blog, the spacing looks great, I do a quick edit and spell check and post it. For the last month or so, the spacing isn’t there at all, its all screwed up, so in an attempt to keep paragraphs separated, I’ll use those darn stars!

For the card, the base is green galore from Stamping up, the background embossing is from a new Sizzix embossing folder. If you have an AC Moore store near you, these and all the Sizzix products are 40% off. Our AC Moore also had a great selection of Easter and St. Patrick day dollar stamps, lets just say I enjoyed myself!

The embossed piece measures 4″ X 5 1/4″ and I used barely banana card stock and pebbles sparkly chalk to embellish. It is finished simply with a green galore layer, glitter and pop dots. Of course I added a bit of ribbon as well.
