Day 5 — Hoard clean up — Sanctuary and sanity returning
Day five began very quietly. A fact for which I am grateful!
Cleaning out takes time. I am grateful that I have accomplished so much over the last 5 days. Today I had set aside for running errands and beginning the process of cleaning out my side of the master bedroom closet.
To keep from being overwhelmed I made a decision earlier in the day to place many of the items I need to sort into two plastic bins. This way I can tackle these projects one at a time. This will allow me to do it right once.
This evening I have determined to take out a few stamp and die sets and make a few “prototype” cards. I will be sharing these with my husband and will make a decision to which style(s) will be made for this years Christmas card mailing. I will post pictures if I remember tomorrow.
Today’s advice, the space you are organizing is yours. Do not allow anyone to take the wind out of your sails. Find a pace that works. Take breaks, stay hydrated and enjoy the process. It is said it takes 21 days to break an old habit and 66 days to adapt a new one. Want to learn more, click this link and read the article.
Today is day five. Sixty one days to set a new habit. At this moment that does seem a ways away. However, personal determination and allowing myself grace will hopefully set this path straight.
Have a great day my friends! Stamp happy and be a blessing. Until next time…
