COVE CRAFTER’S CLUB – Serving Christ by serving others
This organization has my heart. When Michael and I first moved to Alabama I had the God given heart’s desire to jump in and not only serve but also immerse into our community.
Please search “Cove Crafters” here on the blog for more information and more pictures of past cove crafter events. I have a simple belief which is everyone has talents, I tease my club members when they tell me they are not creative. I ask them one question. The question is “Can you flip a light switch”, the response is overwhelmingly “of course”. I follow up and let them know they “qualify” for craft club. If needed the turning on and off of lights can be their job.
Fast forward two years and to this date I haven’t had a member who only turned on the lights.
I also believe that in dying there is life. Want to really live, be around some one who is dying. It will put life into sharp contrast against death. We who are saved and are followers of Christ know his joy and peace in the middle of hard times. Jeremiah 29:11-14 His plans, not mine.
The patients and family of Shepherd’s Cove receive a gift made by this wonderful group of men and women. Please email me if you would like to make a financial or craft materials contribution. We are a 501(c) charity and will happily provide a receipt for tax purposes. You may also email me with any other questions you may have about the organization. My mail is: Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com
The first picture above is the group with which we created the fun luminary project for our patients. Here is a video slideshow we hope you will enjoy!
Until next time, stamp happy and be a blessing!
