Swap Projects for February — with video Blog and pictures!

It is snowing here. The mere word “snow” should be banned or considered a dirty “four letter word”. I’m so ready for the weather to warm up. I love to have a Spring and Summer garden and the ground is just too wet from all the snow to even consider starting to plant for a couple more months.

I am participating in a “Pick 3” type swap. This is an on-line group I just joined and until I have a few swaps under my belt I have to participate in the “newbie” swaps. I don’t really mind this, and am looking forward to the lovely creations others make.

ATC (Artist Trading Cards) for Online-Swaps

In the Video slide show these are facing the correct direction. For what ever reason when I uploaded them here to blogger, they had not corrected and no matter what I have tried, they still won’t seem to stay in the proper orientation.

Speaking of orientation, I’ve been on bit of a cleaning streak. Don’t worry, nothing overly strenuous, but I’ve gotten things accomplished. I purchased a new LG (didn’t even know LG made them) vacuum cleaner. The darned thing pretty much runs itself. Oh what a joy. Who knew you could love a vacuum cleaner.

I was able to speak with one of my Father’s brother’s daughter tonight. What a joy to re-connect with her after about 20 years ago. Her son is 23 now and is in Florida. It was a treasure troth of information for which I was not only grateful, but at times shocked.

Also, be fearless in your testimony to tell others about Jesus. I posted a short clip about the rapture (The return of Jesus) and my “friends” on Facebook (I had over 900) dropped by half. Sometimes the truth may not be what people want to hear. However, I strongly believe that his plan and purpose for us who believe is to show it in our daily lives and proclaim him the best we can.

Dryer Sheet Dispenser — made from a Baby Wipe Container

Hello my crafty friends. Here is one of the projects I made for myself. Here is the story behind the project.

As many of you know we have three small dogs. One is only four months old and well, chews on everything. I didn’t know that a box of dryer sheets had fallen to the floor and she had the box. Miss Abby with that sweet little face was totally busted.

She hadn’t consumed the dryer sheets or the box, just chewed it to the extent the box was destroyed.

Now I have a pile of dryer sheets and option one, just stick them in a baggie or stick them on the top of the dryer.

I notice over on the folding table an empty never used baby wipe container and had a “light bulb” moment. First I tested to see if the baby wipes would fit and actually “pop” up from the container. SCORE.

Then, of course (in my crafty ways) I had to decorate it, so when it sits on the washer/dryer and no one would confuse it for something else.

Here is a slide show of the project. I hope you’ll give something like this a try. Next up, a beverage dispenser (like for lemon aid or iced tea), to more easily dispense the fabric softener. So many ideas.

Now to clean up my craft area and eat some dinner.

Happy Sunday! I hope this day finds you blessed.

Before I get into the crafty ness of it all, I thought I’d share some pictures of Isabella and Abby. Abby is growing up quickly and is such a sweet girl. She is pretty much house broken.

Here is a quick funny story for you, yesterday I caught little Abby going potty on my bathroom rug, so I picked her up and told her “no-No!” and headed with her in my hands to the puppy paper. Apparently Isabella thought she had done something wrong and slinked off… and sat on the puppy paper.. too funny!

Below are some more detailed pictures of the projects I made for Nancy. I sure hope she likes these! I had a really great time in the creative mode!
