Halloween Card Series #7 with Video

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am so grateful for the beautiful changing of the leaves and the fall season. Today was we enjoyed some nice weather and cooler temperatures.

I created today’s Halloween card using stamps from Your Next stamp. Click here for their web site. I used my Copic markers to color the image. The bolsters (black pop dots) are from Judy Morrow and the Sticky stuff store.

The action wobbles were purchased from Amazon. Today’s project only took approximately 30 minutes from start to finish to create. I kept the layout and elements fairly simple to create this fun and interactive piece.

The adorable (yet delicious according to Chad) Birthday sorbet desert.

I blinked. Certainly that is what has really happened here. I woke up this morning to the cutest site.

Chad’s friend, Ethan and his parents snuck up and put up a Birthday banner and left Balloons for Chad early this morning. I woke him up and told him he needed to go outside. There he was standing there, not entirely awake in his under ware , I laughed and told him he might want to get dressed before going out.

We both giggled, it was such a precious reminder of what friends are for.

Tonight was dinner out. He choose Hunan L’Rose in Odenton, MD. As has been our experience for many years now the food and the service were just excellent.

Today my young man turned 20. As we sat chatting and I watched in amazement the true gift he is in my life, I enjoyed hearing him talk about work, school and sip hot tea. I do think two packets of sugar for a less than 4 oz cup of tea was a bit over kill but, it’s his birthday.

Without a doubt he is one of the most precious people in my life. It is still my joy to hear him call me mom. Happy 20th Birthday, my Chad. I love you!

Halloween Tag part of my 2014 Halloween Series (#6) video and pictures!

Today’s project features dies from Sizzix, My Favorite Things, and Lawn Fawn Stamps. I purchased my copic markers from Oozak.

There are also dies from Spellbinders. The distress ink is from Ranger.

This project took around 4 hours to complete. By adding many layers the tag looks more dimensional and it also adds to the whimsy of the piece.

I used an Accucut Craft tag for the base of this card. It was cut from medium weight chipboard and covered with scrap booking paper purchased from my local AC Moore.
