Is anyone else having problems getting video’s to upload to YouTube? I have several projects I am working on and have not been successful at uploading. I am resaving some of these files in a different format, hoping this will solve the problem.
In the first video I show a mini album I made for one of my Chemo Buddies, I even received a nice email from her thanking me for the album and my letters and gifts I have sent. It made my year!
The second video is of a mixed media “bird” themed tag swap for a swap on Creating The Crafty Life. I used Denim and burlap along with many other mixed media supplies.
I hope you will enjoy these videos. I will be updating the website soon. I am going to be hosting a Card kit swap again in my on my youtube channel and facebook pages. I hope that you will participate. There will be a few prizes along the way.
Please remember to leave comments on both youtube and here on the website, I appreciate them.
You will need some tissue paper, ink (I used Memento tuxedo black) and some stamps.
In the video below you will see the process of how I made the transfer for the tiles. I do want to emphasis that the process is not difficult, but you need to use caution during the transfer process’ so that the tissue paper does not tear. This really works well on any slick surface.
The image can also be transferred to the tile using soe glossy accents.
Once the image is stamped, color it with gentle pressure on the tissue paper. Once the coloring is complete, use either the matte medium or the glossy accents on the surface. Gently place the image onto the top of the tile and move it to the desired location. Cover the surface with another coat of the matte medium and pat down with your fingers.
If you decide to use the glossy accents, you will not need to use your fingers. Simply spread the glossy accents over the surface and even it out with the applicator tip. Set it aside to dry.
Please do a Video Response if you decide to try these tiles (Tumbled marble or slick surface) so I can see your beautiful work. I will give you a chance to win one of these for yourself. In the first video (above) is the actual give away for a chance to win one of FOUR tiles.
If You would like an chance to win this project please leave a comment directly on the YouTube channel Or down below this post .

These Worry/Soothing stones are sure to make a wonderful gift for some one in your life that is facing a difficult time or diagnosis. They are easy to make and not very expensive.
You will need tumbled marble tiles, these are readily available from your local home improvement center. They are approximately $10.00 and measure 2″X2″X1/4″ . The tiles will need to be prepped by removing the fabric backing and cleaning them with a damp cloth or baby wipe.
Then you will need a few stamps (I used some from Hero Arts and Stampabilities) . To make sure these tiles will hold up to the wear and tear of frequent handling, use a permanent waterproof ink such as Ranger Archival ink. Please refer to the video below for more details.
Once the tree’s had been stamped onto the tiles, I used my heat tool to make sure the ink was completely dry before stamping on the sentiment. These tiles are sealed with Glossy Accents, however you can use any workable fixative or spray sealer you have. The backs of these tiles are finished with pieces of cork that I glued into place using E6000. Before adding the cork to the back of the tiles, I allowed the glossy accents to dry completely. In the photo above, the glossy accents are still slightly wet.
