Hello Friends!

Main Bookmark presentation folder measures 12″ X 8″.  Score 4″ from both ends on the 12″ side.  Turn 160* and score 2″ (this will be the bottom)

Then trim from the bottom of the card stock to the score line so the folder will open and close easily. Original idea credits:  Stamping School.

Bookmarks measure 3 3/4″ X 5″.  The card stock is from My Favorite things  and the patterned paper was purchased from the craft store.

The Layering pieces for the front cover are 3 3/4″ X 4 3/4″, my subsequent layers are built from a notched rectangle die. (Retired die from Spellbinders Paper Arts).  The white card stock is Copic quality X-press It card stock.

The white inside layers of the folder also measure 3 3/4″ X 5″.  These are embossed with a retired embossing folder purchased from Joanne Fabric and crafts.  These are held into place with My Scrapbook Adhesives.

I had the honor to lead a group of great crafty ladies on 9/1/2017 at the Sheperds Cove hospice in Albertville, AL.  The afternoon was filled with fun, laughter and crafts.  We completed 105 boxes (Sizzix box with handle) which is long since retired.  I also used stamps and card stock from My Favorite Things Stamps.  You can check out their website here.   I am placing a paypal donation button at the bottom of this post so if you would like to contribute supplies or mone to purchase supplies for our Hospice craft program you may do so.

What fun are these adorable book mark gift holders? I got the original idea from Linda Heller of Https://stampingschool.com.  I do have her written permission to recreate this project using my own set of instructions. Although similar, they are not exactly the same.  However, I did not want to risk plagiarism nor disrespect her terrific website.  I’ve used many of her ideas and given them as gifts. You do have to have her permission if you are going to recreate something for a class or on line tutorial.

I recently purchased a Brother Scan and Cut2.  With my previous experiences with Cricut,Cricut Air,and the Silhouette being all negative, I was learly about trying *yet another* die cutting system.  However, I was faced with cutting out hundreds (no I am not exaggerating) for the current Sheperds Cove Hospice.

There is a learning curve this machine.  I will admit five minutes after un-boxing the machine, I almost re-boxed it and returned it to the place I purchased it from.  Take my advise, always have paper on your cutting mat while setting up the machine for cutting, Spray adhesive is your friend, Don’t be in a hurry and lastly, its easier to get things off using the scapula

I finally broke down and replaced my computer with a new HP Pavilion computer.  I’m frustrated that the Geek squad would or could not fix the old one.  Anyways,
