Today’s blog is going to have alot of pictures, I hope you will enjoy them all!
Here is what I am working on! I am in love with these boxes. I love the diversity you can achieve with them as well as the fact they are awesome gifts. I will be making some of these to sell as well!
I can hardly believe that it is fall already. I know I keep saying that but, dang where did the summer go?
I am also workiing on my housework. Loving the new steam cleaner I bought yesterday. It does quick work on my dirty carpet. I even managed to clean up a section of the basement he had cluttered up. I was thinking, for once I get to grip a bit about his mess — oops, not so much. I bet 75% of the crap that had accumulated belonged to me. Lesson learned! Too funny! I found stuff that I had totally forgotten I even owned. Including an origional still in the box set of Perry Como records!
For blog candy I’m adding one of these boxes to the mix! Yupper, your choice, so if you think you like one more than the rest, keep that in mind as we continue with blog candy!
Speaking of Candy, I got a really good deal on some mini bags of M&M’s the other day it was a 250 count (Sams) for like $7.00 not bad! I’m doing ore of the little mini designer bags! I’m going to be bad and have some chocolate myself tonight! I won’t go overboard but will be sure to take a walk so my blood sugar doesn’t spike.
Ok, back to the stationary boxes, I will be teaching this as a class at a local stamp store in the next few months, I am thinking of charging $40.00/each so I have enough to cover time and expenses. I’ll have everything cut and scored to make it easier. Does that sound like too high of a price? It is pretty much what other instructors get for smaller less complicated classes.
I need to feed the kids and take the dogs out for some ‘private time’, I will blog at you guys later!
Today’s post is brought to you by the letter “B” for Boo and the number 24, the number of card kits I have to prepare by Friday.
After getting very discusted with AW,TT,RH,K and a few other folks on Split coast stampers, I decided to join a shoebox swap in another part of Maryland. It is this Saturday the 27th. I’m pretty excited about it! Above is the card I have chosen to take with me. It is not quiet complete as I want to chalk the CB pumpkins on the bottom. It is a SU only swap, so that is why you see the booblie eyes stamp.
I will post pictures tomorrow of some more stationary boxes I have been working on. I will also post a pictures of the small glass jars with cork stoppers I purfhased from American Science glass. I plan to use these small bottles and fill them with glitter and include them in gifts or as Secret Sister goodies.
I’ve been tagged! Janet! Thanks, what an honor! Check out Jane’ts blog by clicking here.
Here is how you play:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog. Check!
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. Seven facts, this isn’t easy. 1. I love to play violin. 2. Stamping is more of an obsessioon than a hobby. 3. I got so bored the other day, I blinged my stapler. 4. I know sign language and would like one day to persue it as a career. 5. I love the color green. 6. My favorite food is mashed potatoes (with butter and salt, I’m a purist ).
7. I’m trying to loose some weight, not so easy these days!
Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
I can hardly believe that it is already September and that it is time to start thinking about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas stamping projects!
I am working on some more of the Halloween treats I posted earlier on my blog, and I am also working on some things for my secret sister swap over on Splitcoast stampers.
I’m going to start off blog candy with a BANG! Count them, one..two…three! Three cuttlebug embossing folders. houndstooth, sledding, and argyle! Now that is some sweet candy!
So back to our subject of the day, what are you planning for your Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas projects? Are you going to have a party or get together for these occasions, or just plan to have some tasty treats for those you care for?!
As for me, I will have the proto types of my 3 or 4 Christmas cards designs done before the week is over. I know its crazy, but I work from the holiday that is last to the one that is current. I’m so backwards!
Ok, Stamp Happy! Blog candy runs from September 17 until October 10, with the drawing being done around that time frame. Enjoy my blog!
Stationary Box ! Hello every one, I hope you are all getting some stamping time in and enjoying some great creative time!

I found this idea online in one of the stamping communities of splitcoast, and the girl who did the tutorial was more than happy to share the link with me, so click here for all the details. It is from Dannie’s design blog and you’ll really enjoy her blog and the tutorial. It even has a downloadable template to follow. The box took me several hours to totally complete, mostly because like alot of other people, I am a visual learner.
Watching the video and having the template allowed me to work with Dannie as she constructed her box and I know with certainty that I will be able to accomplish this task much easier in the future.
I strayed from the origional design and used alot of designer paper on my box, I am so thrilled with the way it came out. Below are a few more pictures of the actual contents of the box:
They are a 3 x 3″ mini card, a standard A2 card and the card and envelope, finally a small tag that can be used for what ever you desire. I attached the pen to the inside of the box cover by using an piercing tool and a small piece of waxed linen thread, simply tied into a bow.
One last project, which I actually completed last night is the beautiful fairy image from inkadinkado, believe it or not it was at my Michael’s store, it is a clear set of stamps, and she is so beautiful. I colored her with copic markers and then used my glaze silver pen to add the sparkling details. The card is finished off with sponging behind her so she pops off the page. I wish I had a sentiment stamp that read something like ‘wish upon a star’ or something like that.
Have a great evening, I will hopefully start blog candy tomorrow, so be on the look out!
Wouldn’t you know it, for the third round of DSS (devine secret sisters) my little sis loves salty, crunchy snacks. I thought Umm, what to do. Then I remembered I had this cute Stamp from Stamps by Judith. Check her websight out here. I stamped the image using brilliance Black ink onto a super nice white card base, then trimmed. I colored the popcorn and box using the copic markers. I then added liquid applique and using my pokey tool made sure it was pretty ‘broken’ up before applying heat. You can really see the ‘popcorn’ texture of the project.
The popcorn itself was left in its shrink wrap plastic and simply measured and then I applied decorative paper over top and a ribbon to tie it together. It came out adorable! My little sister’s salty tooth will prove to be a fun challenge this round.
Now onto some sweet chocolaty treats, I made these mini designer bags using a heavy stock patterned paper I found at the craft store, I made four of each in the three designs shown. I plan to make alot more of this project, they are super fast and easy to mass produce!
This is from the batty for you set in the current stampin up catalog. I used google eyes to dress up the little bat guy, I think he is adorable.
One last project for today, I made these mini composition notes, designed for your purse for quick notes, you can cater these to any occasion or mood. I simply covered the little books with designer paper, ribbon and used a small flower stamp and dew drops as accessories. Each little book took about 3-5 minutes to finish. How much fun is that?
