She altered her baby wipe container!
There I was, trying to finish up some last minute projects and get ready for the Shoe Box swap on Fort Meade when I thought, gee that baby wipe box looks so boring!
Here are pictures of the finished box and my die cutting and embossing folder storage;
Hi my stamping friends!
** As promised here is the video tutorial on how to make the gable box using the new sizzix die from Sizzix. Click here for the web sight I use to buy these dies. Click here for the Sizzix web sight.**
I do have a few more of these boxes to shoot video tutorials of along with some new ones I expect to arrive any day now. Be on the look out, I am going to have Mary Dawn re-design the blog once again. I think I need something fun and flirty!
***I am so sorry that the format of today’s post is so very off. I’m not really sure what is up with that, but hopefully I can fix it later on, if not. Oh well!
*** I cut the video off early because most of the time video’s need to run under about 12 minutes or both YouTube and blogger have problems with the publishing. It amazes me that it only took about 10 minutes to make today’s video and it has been over an hour waiting for it to publish.
***A couple of things not shown on the video. I used rose romance ink retired from Stampin up to sponge the edges of the box. The sentiment is stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink onto Hammer Mill 100 pound 100 brightness card stock. I used my same sponge and added color and texture to the tag. The cute embellishments are 3 dimensional stickers gifted to me as part of my birthday gifts. This box actually stays square better when you fill it with candy or other goodies.
*** I hope to be shooting more video tutorials. Now that I understand how to use my camera, set my lights and prepare things in advance, it should be a bit easier for me to share some of my ideas with you guys. I am also a visual learner and know how important it is to have both text and video when available. I am still waiting for a 10 minute to upload nearly 2 and a half hours later. Come on slow poke!
** I got bored while waiting OK now 3 hours for the video to upload and decided to take some pictures of my die cutting area. I choose to store my Cuttle bug and Sizzix embossing folders in a cigar box. They are together by theme, such as Birthday, floral and Christmas. Makes for easy reference and a quick find. They sit in the box wonderfully and I flip through them just like a Rolodex file.
*** Blog candy is still on, refer to yesterdays’ post for a photo. Email contact is ms.rhetta@verizon.net if you need to contact me directly with questions and comments, I really appreciate your feed back and kind comments here on my creative blog!
Stamp Happy my friends!
Hello Stampers!
****
Isn’t this little Valentine treat box adorable. I used my new sizix die “Bag, with handles” to cut this one out, then I used one of the brand new Cuttlebug embossing folders (I know it doesn’t show in person, but in real life the texture of this heavy card stock is rich with beautiful free floating flowers.
