Update on blog candy

Because of my recent serious illness and subsuqent hospitalization, I’m going to delay blog candy until June 1.

This gives you plenty of time to participate. There are four stamp sets and one altered item in the pot.

Stay tuned tomorrow for new posts/pictures. I’m just now able to get back to my stamping desk! I’m pretty excited to get my mojo back!

Don’t worry — blog candy still on –I’ve been in the Hospital

Hi Friends

A quick post I have been in the hospital since last Monday. I started feeling very “weird” by time I got to the ER the immediately transfered me tot he IMCU (step down cardiac care unit) with a blood pressure of 177/110.

Of course they started immediately giving me medications to bring down my pressures. I am very weak since they would not allow me out of bed except for bathroom privledges, even then I had a ‘sitter’ so they could assure I would not fall.

A whole new set of medications and (i know etc. TMI) I’m fianlly home.

I probally won’t be able to update the blog again until I am back to normal (whatever that may mean — lol)

Continue to pray for me and my family. Hugs to all.

Two more swsap cards Whipper Snapper!

I just adore the little girl with the frog. I 3D’s his head and colored both images with copic markers.

Both cards are finished up simply using decorative paper and dimensionals. I also have three more swap sets to go postal. I’ll be working on those tomorrow. I am having a nice evening with my family. My son gave me flowers to celebrate the day and my step-son gave me a really cute card! It has been a relaxing day.

Mike made a yummy pot of chilli for lunch and we had it with hotdogs for dinner tonight. Very tasty! Have a great night. Stamp Happy!

First whipper snapper swap — card 1

Hi everyone

I am participating in a swap for Whipper Snapper Design stamps. The sentiment is so cute, I couldn’t resist but using it with this darling cow.

Don’t you just love a beautiful day? Our AC has been out for the last five days. Even though my cold is mostly (thank God) resolved. The amount of pollen in the air is just unbelievable. I snuck out of the house for some time with my BFF and a nice lunch out at Don Pablo’s.

The altered journal I and tag book I had on the blog have both gone postal. I hope that the journal gets published. I submitted it to Just Cards which is published by Scott Publications.

I am starting the process of making another journal as a gift for a friend.

Hopefully our AC will be fixed tomorrow — just in time for the weather to turn off cold and rainy. Go figure!

One of my online friends, Michelle, has been there while I whined over not having Craig back at home for over 8 months. She patiently “listened” in face book chat and we have become friends.

I really wanted to do a special little tag book for her, so I decided to drag out some shades of lavender and greens for her book. I really like how the details of stickles, ghosts shapes, dew drops and of course ribbon.

It isn’t that I don’t have enough ribbon, but with an Offray ribbon outlet within a few hours driving, I am starting to have a need for a trip. Maybe one of these days I can make it out. When I finally make the trip I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures.

It has been an overcast day and very humid. My hair is so puffy that I can’t even grab hold of it to pull it into a pony tail. I’ve just about given up trying to brush through it again with all the tangles.

I am looking forward to Thursday, my Whipper Snapper order should arrive. I paid a little extra to have my package delivered via UPS two day priority mail. I can hardly wait to mount and play with the new images. I did splurge a bit on this order, but it is not something I do very often. I needed to “treat” myself and I did!
