Hark the Harold Angel Sing!

Oh ladies and gentlemen!
I am so thrilled to have my Copic Certification! I have wanted to earn this since 2007 when I first “discovered” these fantastic markers. I learned so much, our patient instructors, Colleen and Beate made the class awesome.
It was fast moving, lots of information to absorb and a wonderful class-work book to use. I’m still reviewing that and enjoying the awesome tips!
I used Lara the ladybug from Delightful Digital Stamps. I colored her with copic markers and used pop dots to 3-d her wings, glitter and a simple card-like sketch for the cover of this Jr. Legal Pad. Please tune in Saturday for a video tutorial of how to make a Jr. Legal Pad cover, it will not be a full cover like this one, but they are easy to make. They just take a bit of planning and the project is very worth it!
I hope you are all having an awesome week, mine has certainly gotten off to a wonderful start!
Stamp Happy and be a blessing!

Stamp Happy, be well!

A side note, thank you my precious husband, MSG Rodger, Michael L. USA Army Retired. Your service and sacrifice are honored in this home.

First of all, I’m in one of the goofiest moods this evening. I went shopping today. There is something about the adrenalin rush I get when I’m on the “hunt”. This time the “hunt” was for a container large enough to hold all of my copic markers. I found this large Iris type container at my local craft store, I grouped the colors together and each color family is held together with rubber bands so I can glance quickly and retrieve what I need.
I need about a dozen to have a complete set of copics, and I hope with my trip to take the certification class and then receive my copic certification on Monday. I hope I can finish up my collection and start collecting the refills. I must admit once I begin to collect the copic refills. I may have a slight storage problem.
Ok, I admit it, I have a serious storage problem now, I don’t have enough. Maybe one day, I can totally clean out the oldest DS’s room, and stock it with my DH’s guitars, books, computer desk, etc. Of course, I’d have to buy him a mini fridge for his “beverage” needs. Back to earth!
Speaking of “earth” I took a picture of me on the average, every day, hair in a mess, one eyebrow looking weird. (I have no idea why), a goofy look on my face and ink on my fingers! Have a good laugh at it!
The elf is a topper that is part of the Christmas topper (one) set. I colored him with copic markers, the checks of this little guy is embellished a white gel pen. I sewed a tiny jingle bell to the top of his hat. He is then embellished with glitter. Click here for the Digital Delight websight.
I used this image on a Jr. legal pad, and put him on the top. You will see this project in next Saturday’s tutorial (November 13, 2010) due to a slight mix-up with the other DT designers and leaders. Trust me it is no biggie.
I hope you enjoyed the mini video tutorial of my scrap/stamp room, I am not sure why the video is so fussy, I really need to change video tapes as I tend to use the first 10-15 minutes of it over (and over a ca-zillion) times. So it is probably worn out and needs to be retired.
I finally was able to mail Jeannette her blog candy from my blog-anniversary give away, and it is time to do a small give away for Christmas holidays. I will post details (and pictures) tomorrow. Until then, feel free to start leaving comments any where on my blog, tag my blog onto your blog or face book page for a chance to win.
