A gift for Alison

Inspite of current frustrations, I took a little time to make this cute altered lunch box for my new friend Alison.

I met Alison while looking at the discounted punches at our large Joanne’s store. Of course I’m always willing to ‘enable’ other crafters and that day she shared her 20 % off entire purchase and sale items coupon with me. That is like insta friend.

We haven’t had much time to get together mostly because of circumstances with my remodel. So today we are just going to hang out in this mess of a stamp room (I’m not brave enough to take pics right now).

I need to take a few pics of the finished outside, it looks like a totally different house.

Ladies, this is a really quick post, I have lost part of my inbox for email entirely. It just kinda disappeared. I have something ready for all five ladies who left a comment on this post.

My oldest son (yes the Airforce kid) is having some major issues right now. Obviously I do not want to get into this on an open forum, so please just know this is a difficult time for him and our family and keep us in your prayers.

I apologise ladies that I didn’t post that I needed your address once again sooner, it has just been a terrible week, throw in the end of our remodel (pictures soon) and you’ve got one stressed out chick!

The finish line is near!

The main part of our remodeling process is starting to come to a close.

We are actually almost a week ahead of the contractor’s schedule. There is still finish work to be done, lattice, privacy enclosure on the deck, furniture for the porch and deck and we will be putting shutters on our shed for a rain barrell.

We are also adding a privacy fence around the back of the house for privacy and to allow the dogs a good run of the back yard.

Please note, the music you hear in the video was purchased from the Itunes store . I really love classical music.

I receive many comments on the Never Ending Card, I would like to remind every one that Scrap and Stamp arts dubed my card (the version of the NEC) the “coolest Card Ever” and it still is!

May 7 Squiggle fly release!

I received my PREMIERE Issue of Just Cards! For Kids! magazine complimentary copy today and I have two cards published in this issue. One is on Page 35 and the other is on page 108.

I hope that when this actually post that all the pictures will be viewable. This digi image is entitled “A dance to Remember”. I think it would be an awesome image to use on a Father’s day card.
For this project: I made a 6X6″ scrapbook page.

Base layer is 6″ X 6″. Working from the left to right, the speckled purple measures 5″ X 2″, the patterned purple measures 5″ X 3″. The photo mat (white layer) measures 3″X 3″ and the specked purple is 2 3/4″ X 2 3/4″ turned on the point.

The image is cut down and colored with Copic markers. This project show cases how you can use your existing stamps and materials and enhance them with digital images. The sentiment and water mark flowers are from Scrappy Cat clear stamps. The felt roses are cut from a die I received in a swap.

I also stamped a butterfly onto shrink plastic, colored and curved up the wings for an added whimsical touch.

I hope you will give this project a try. I will try and post again this week with a Squigglefly fun project showcasing some really fun summer time images. I’m thinking Beach Baby!

Please for the ladies I have promised packages/cards they will be done this weekend, due to scheduling conflicts, rain and contractor issues I haven’t been able to fulfill my obligations, so hang in there!

I hope you are all doing well, I am trying to catch up with emails and other communications as well. On a side note, to the “dear” person who sent me a “Track” (religious brochure) thank you, however I am a Christian (A follower and believer in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord) and do not plan to convert to Seven Day or other ‘religion’. Please don’t mail any more of this type of material tome.
