Layer patterned papers onto panels as shown. To create the labels print out the desired sentiments onto good quality white card stock, cut or punch out with the spellbinder dies or oval punch.
The pockets measure 3 1/4 X 2″ and the edge is made by using a deckle edge scissor. These pockets are held in place by dimensional dots. For each of the small note pads, you will need two pieces of copy paper cut into 2 1/2″ X 8″ strips.
Cover the junior legal pad with matching patterned paper. B, using a craft knife, cut a small slit for the ribbon to feed through before placing down the note pad.
Cover the top of the junior pad with matching paper. Adhere to the inside middle of the planner.
Please if you give this project a try, please send me an email or video showing me your work, I would love to show case it on my blog.
Stamp Happy and be a blessing. Video tutorial of this project coming soon!
Inspite of my plans, I was unable to make the class held at Queens Ink today. I was sick earlier this week, and was not sure if I would be well enough to attend.
I will be posting pictures soon of the art journal pages I have been creating.
I have decided to try and make gifts to go along with my usual Christmas cards and gift cards for friends and family. Before I finish these up, I needed to finish up these swaps.
If you don’t care for the Christmas music, please mute your speakers now.
I am not sure why the Christmas/snow mini album pictures posted from last to first. Oh well, it came out adorable. My partner is a relative new swapper and crafter and I am excited to receive her feedback.
I am also doing a one on one swap with Cindy at MAS, I followed a video tutorial for the measurements, a special thanks to Michelle Suit for the idea and original measurements. All of the print outs, stamps, etc., are my original ideas and embellishments.
I hope you guys are doing well. Our family is looking forward to the Thanksgiving Holiday. It will be a quiet one.
Stamp Happy and be a blessing! Thanks for stopping in!
Hello My crafty friends
I made this mini album for one of my nieces, I know they all read my blog and watch my you tube channels, so ladies, you’ll just have to wait until December when I roll the Christmas boxes out to see who gets which gift.
Just so you all know, I do not plan to duplicate any of the gifts, so no “assembly” line style here.
I have already finished my Christmas cards for this year and plan to make a few more gifts. I am attending an art journal class and want to make something for the instructor as well as the shop owner. I already have some ideas. Not even going to be artsy fartsy, more in my cutesy style of stamping.
Halloween has been fairly quiet around here, we probably had two or three dozen kiddos come through the neighborhood, they where so adorable! I enjoyed handing out the candy. Chad had his first instructor driving lesson today (The kid didn’t look old enough to be an instructor).
Chad did not join me in the passing out of the candy, but he still had a responsibility to get the trash and recycling to the curb. Oh life just isn’t fair sometimes.
I hope you have all had a good week. We did well through the storm and no major damage, for which we are thankful for. Chad and I will be taking out the remainder of our garden and cleaning up mountains of leaves this weekend.
For those of you left with devastation following the “Frankenstein” storm, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Here is a video slide show of today’s project, enjoy!
Have a terrific week. Stamp Happy and Be a blessing
I wanted to do a really quick post to let every one know that we are in the midst of a very angry hurricane named Sandy. She has winds nearly 65 miles per hour and before 5:00 PM EST, it was pitch black outside. I am having a hard time convincing our two fur babies that a quick outside tinkle trip is in order from time to time.
As you can tell by the post, as of 7:00 EST we have not lost power. I hope you are all doing well and will stay safe in the storm.
If you have never tried Art Journals for yourself, please go visit YouTube and type in the search bar “Art Journal”. The talent of these artist is just amazing.
Why have I begun to art journal. The answer to that question is honestly very simple. I needed an outlet that was not precise, something that allows the very soul to not only soar but allow for self-exploration.
Today I needed to channel my inner child. I wish the glimmer mist on this page showed up more, but it doesn’t. I used stamps from my collection, included a few die cut’s and just enjoyed the process.
Yes, we all should remind ourselves of how truly unique we are. We are special, loved and our lives make a difference not only in our small world, but in many ways to those who even have the briefiest of contact with us.
I hope you will give this a try. I am taking a class at
The Queen’s Ink on November 11, 2012 to continue the explaration of Art Journals. I am so looking forwad to this class.
