Episode FOUR KonMari Method Craft Room Reorganization
Today’s hot tip:
A label maker is your best friend! I use a brother p-touch.You can purchase this through my Affiliate link here.
I do think the refills on Amazon for the tape are more expensive than the generic kind sold on Ebay. Most label makers will tell you what type of the tape they take. These versatile little machines make life and organizing a joy.
The pictures are out of sequence and for that I offer my sincere apologies.
The first picture is a current look at the floor behind my desk. A majority of these items were on the counter. I honestly just swiped them onto the floor. A mass majority of this is actually trash. Paper trash, old mail, empty containers a plate and a spoon. (Hey don’t ask, I had the munchies… lol)
The second thing that is critical for your craft room organization are high quality thick plastic trash bags. It is amazing to me how much packaging I’ve managed to hang onto with the precept of “I can use this for a paint pallet” or “This packaging would be great to make a ghost shape since its clear plastic”. Yes save a few especially if you have an upcoming project in mind. Otherwise. Well… there’s a trash bag for that.
The last picture represents a current (7/11/2018) pile of crap on the floor behind my desk. It is best to have some clear surfaces. I actually plan to grab a pillow and sit on the floor to sort the crap out. It is important that as you work, you try to have at least one or two areas completely clutter and crap free.
This is the main work counter after the declutter.
Main desk top cleaned up. The rolling cart still needs to be done. Starting with a clean surface just helps your personal stress level. The floor looks like the picture below.
