Altered Canvas
I was in a partner swap on a .ning sight and my partner for the altered canvas swap was Sonia O. I posted the canvas I made for her in an earlier blog post.
This is the beautiful canvas I received. At first I thought I would use it as a plaque but the more I looked at the piece the more it called out to me to be an accessory to the photo frame I made for the picture of my husband Mike and I taken last July.
The first four pictures are of the canvas without any revisions. I decided to add a couple of my signature shrink plastic butterflies and a stamped image for inside of the frame. I may at a later date change this for a picture, but for right now I am pleased with the final out come.
If you would like more information on the online group that hosted this swap, please email me at Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com . As I stated in a previous post due to some not so nice circumstances I will no longer publish groups I am on to protect myself and those I enjoy swapping with.
I hope you are all doing well. I am still struggling with the C-5/C-6 pinched nerve. My doctor put me on a second round of steroids today. I have an MRI of the cervical spine and left shoulder tomorrow morning. Just to make sure there isn’t any thing else going on.
I am the type of person who can normally handle pain, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Please pray that this will settle down soon. Talk about a literal pain in the neck, it goes down my neck to my shoulder blade to my shoulder socket, all the muscles in my left arm are at some form of spasms and I haven’t felt the tip of my left thumb in two weeks.
I’m only 47, I’m much to young to fall apart. Now mind you I’m not too young to have not flashes. Who turned up my thermostat. Private summer, who ever came up with that term hasn’t been through menopause.
Have a terrific weekend, I hope to shoot some more video tutorials soon, I want to show you guys how I color larger images that have been stamped onto shrinky dink brand plastic, using copic markers.
Stamp Happy and be a blessing!
