How to clean your acrylic stamping blocks
If your acrylic block is dirty and stained like the one above first you will need to gather, a baby wipe and some hand sanitizer, or some rubbing alcohol and an old kitchen wash rag.
You will want to put a generous amount of the hand sanitizer onto the block as shown above. Smear it around with your fingers and allow it to set for 30 seconds to 2 minutes. This will loosen up any dirt, stains and adhesives that are present.
Now you will use those baby wipes with a firm hand and circular motions to clean off the block, you may have to repeat these steps several times to restore your block to a like new finish. Any adhesive can be scraped away with a blunt object. The block should then be cleaned using fresh baby wipes. You can also take it to your sink and rise it off with warm soap and water.
Another alternative is to do a quick scrub in the sink with soap and water and put your blocks on the top shelf of your dishwasher. Please note, this does not work as well as simply using the baby wipes and hand sanitizer to do the job.
This is not a long or difficult process. It does take patience and is well worth your time.
