Private James. Ft. Benning family day
What at an incredible day spent with Chad. He is self-confident, kind and I could understand everything he said. The men basically marched onto the field and were then dismissed to us parents. For anyone who has a future soldier in training, put in Sand Hill Fort Benning for the GPS location, or you will be horribly lost.
Today having Chad close and chatting about his basic training experiences was fantastic. It was also in some ways bitter-sweet. In 2008 we attended Airmen basic training with Craig. Click here for that post.
It is often said the true test of parenting is when they leave your nest and fly on their own. To become responsible adults, kind to others and ever vigilant to do the right thing.
Chad has accomplished more than he thought he could over the 10 weeks of basic training. He has a strong moral compass, he is kind, and viligent that right can triumph over darkness if you work hard enough.
Not to boast any, but there is something special about this young man. yes, you’ve guessed it, he’s my son! I am so proud of him. Chad if you ever read this, you’ve got this, and I love you more than words can say!
I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this young man. May he be blessed on his journey and a hedge of protection surround him. Until next time, Stamp happy and be a blessing.
