Isabella at PetSmart in Laurel,MD patiently awaiting in the buggy while momma takes her picture. She had just gotten groomed!
This will be a short post as I feel that the pictures are pretty self – explanatory. I have had a really great time with the swaps I have been involved in these last few months. The only one that I have taken pictures of is the puzzle piece swap.
I altered a small wooden puzzle piece and the display is the puzzle piece die from www.accucutcraft.com. I used papers from my collection and wild orchid craft flowers.
The altered bottles are from a class at The Queens Ink. I had a really great time learning some new techniques and creating these really cute bottles.
The cork board was made by combining a thick piece of cork I purchased from a big box store and a frame, I painted and distressed both pieces, the back of the piece is also finished with paint and decorative scrap paper. I spelled out the recipient’s name with the small wooden letters I also purchased at the craft store.
I used Aileen’s E6000 glue to keep everything together. I also purchased some small embellishments from the markdown bin. The push pins are made using push pins from the office supply store, you can see the video on how to do them here:
I did not get enough participants to actually do this as a swap, but it is a quick overview of how I made the push pins. There are more things that will go in my box for my swap partner, however, I don’t want to show them off just yet.
Now for Ms. Isabella. I took her for her first “Puppy” cut yesterday at the PetSmart groomer in Laurel, MD. Ms. Isabella did fantastic. She got a good “sanitary” trim as well as a trimmed face and her over-all coat and ears where also cleaned up. She walked out knowing she was a princess.
Yes she is being very patient and still in the cart, She was not left alone so there was no danger of her falling from the buggy. She was very still and patient as her mommy took pictures. She is such a joy in my life.
