3D Butterflies, Transparency Tutorial
Hello friends!
Today I decided to re-do a video tutorial I did originally in March of 2011.
OLD VIDEO: (Scroll down for the new version)
Since the quality isn’t all that great, and it seemed that my precious camera man, Chad was moving around a bit more than I realized, I decided to completely start from scratch and redo the video for this project.
I originally made the butterflies from paper, then vellum, then finally I used transparency film and of course my now infamous 3D shrink dink butterflies. I love making them from the transparency because they are forgiving, easy to make and do appear to be very life-like.
The butterfly stamp is from Sweet and Sassy stamps. I purchased them last weekend when I attended the Allentown, PA show. You will be stamping with versa mark ink, and embossing with black detailed embossing enamel on one side, heat setting the image, and then coloring from the opposite side. Use your scissors to trim it up, apply some E6000 glue and you have this pretty project.
I hope you’ll give it a try. Let me know what you think. Enjoy the video!
