I had a bought of a tummy ache this morning that derailed my previous plans to spend some time with my friends. I’m sure I’m back on track though.
I received this lovely band aid tin from a friend and it just ‘needed’ to be altered. I started with some green galore stamping up card stock and some designer series paper (from the sale -a –bration kit).
I used some stitched wild Wasabi ribbon. The flowers are die cut using an old sizzix die out of felt. The flowers are embellished with glitter. The dew drops finish off the project. I plan to use the tin for upcoming ATC swaps.
I recently purchased a third dogie bed for our basement. This area is also where my wonderful craft space is located. I couldn’t help but get a shot of all three of our puppies, don’t they look spoiled rotten? From left to right, Lexie, Buttercup and Snickers.
Just another reminder, of blog candy; here are the pictures
I hope that I am able to post a new video tutorial soon, so be on the lookout. My goal is to try and do one video a week!
Let me start today’s post with a reminder about blog candy. Currently There are three stamp sets up for grab. Sandy Lion STP10 Girl Clear stamp, Sandy Lion, STP 8 Boy clear stamp and finally inkadinkadoo 97720 Chelsea sentiments.
There is also a small cigar tin for you to alter to your liking. Oh, don’t worry as always with blog candy I will include some fun surprises and more goodies than are listed on the blog. Just to keep things exciting.
Now on to today’s card. I had this crazy outlandish idea that these colors would look good together. The over all theme of the card is OK, but even I am not sure what to do with this one. Um, I may re-do this but right now, I’m trying to figure it out. For one thing, I think the card needs to be bigger.
On a personal note, I have three cards published in the Volume 13, Spring 2009 issue of Just Cards magazine on pages 75,93 and 107. I really enjoy seeing my art in print. Even though I have been published many times in the last year it just never gets old.
Please check out my friend Marisol’s blog.
She recently had a little boy and now that he is getting a bit bigger and (I hope) sleeping a bit better she has been busy creating. Check out her beautiful card creations by clicking here. She has great color combos and I for one love seeing her creations.
I hope you all have a wonderful evening and will find some time to do some stamping or scrap booking of your own.
Stamp Happy!

Prepare dominoes by lightly sanding them. Remove any residue with a damp cloth or baby wipe.
Using the Gina K “Framed Friends” stamp set, ink domino and carefully stamp it directly onto the domino. Heat set for approximately 30 seconds.
Color image with copic markers of your choice. Heat set once again. Then using a strip of skinny red liner tape, wrap the domino and roll through your choice of glitter. Apply a pin back and enjoy!
Up for grabs so far is one cigar tin and two stamp sets (Sandi Lion).
Today’s cute card uses the Provo craft embossing folders, the stamp ‘dust bunnies’ is from Whipper Snapper designs . The color combo is unusual, but given the nature of the card, I wanted something a bit odd and different. After playing around I finally settled on the combo above. It features stamping up card stock in Pacific point, Tangerine tango, Blush blossom, and yo yo yellow. The scallop, the circle and the small square where cut using my nestabilities dies.
The image is colored simply with copic markers and the small square is sponged with yo you yellow ink. I embellished her wings with glitter glue and popped up the square.
I hope you are hanging in there! I made am using this cute Penny Black stamp (hedgies) for an upcoming on line swap. It came out so adorable. The patterned paper is from one of those paper stacks you can get from the craft store. I used the Stamping up Tangerine Tango card stock for the base and layering piece.
I’m looking around for loose change and dollar bills, I’ve ordered a pizza and refuse to use my debit card. I could have sworn I had more cash! I really need to make it to the bank tomorrow.
Chad is starting to feel better. I’ve got him taking OTC Advil and some throat spray. I am hoping we are on the up swing and that I won’t get sick. (Please pray for me!)
Today is my 201st post, and to celebrate I will start offering blog candy today. The first offering will be a small cigar tin for you to alter. There will be other surprises in your goody box along with the things I list. So please be sure to post.
You may post a comment anywhere on the blog, for every post I put your name in the hat and will draw on March 27, 2009.
