1 1/2 pounds raw cranberries
1/2 cup Orange Patrone
1 cup water
3 tbs Cinnamon
2 tsp Pure orange extract
1 1/2-2 cups sugar (or sugar substitute)
pour liquid in first, then cranberries. Pour sugar, cinnamon and cloves on top. Close lid and place the knob on sealing not venting. Set timer for 10 min (I like mine mushy so if you want the berries to be more firm cook for 5 min) the Instapot will come up to heat and seal. Once it does it will start counting down the time and beep when it is done.
Allow the pot to self vent. Mine took around 10 min. Be prepared some of the cranberrie goodness may spew out the top, just wipe it off with a paper towel. Once pressure is released, open the top carefully and pour the cranberry sauce into a serving dish. Mine is a vintage pyrex bowl. I tasted the mixture and added about a 1/4 cup more sugar and a dash of salt.
First impressions, I love this thing. Next recipe experiment will be spaghetti or buffalo style chicken. I’ll keep you updated. Email me with any questions:Ms.Rhetta@gmail.com. Cook something up, and be kind! Until next time…
